Step by step

  1. Open the issue in your browser and copy its web link (the “View online” or “Read in browser” link works too).
  2. Paste it into the Link tab below. If the issue is paywalled or subscriber-only, paste its text into the Text tab instead.
  3. Pick 6–10 slides and a template, then cut each slide down to the one point you want people to remember.
  4. Download the PDF and post it on LinkedIn with “Add a document”, with a line inviting readers to subscribe.

Which newsletter platforms work?

Any issue with a public web page: Substack, beehiiv, Ghost, Kit (ConvertKit), Buttondown and similar. Slidler reads the page like a browser, so the issue has to be viewable without logging in.

What about paywalled issues?

Only the public part of a paywalled post can be read, which is often just the intro. Copy the full text from your editor and paste it into the Text tab.

Why repurpose a newsletter as a carousel?

The issue is already written and structured. A carousel shows the key points to people on LinkedIn or Instagram who aren't subscribers yet, and your closing slide can point them to the signup page.

Can I make one carousel per section?

Yes. Paste a single section into the Text tab to turn a long issue into several shorter carousels.
