Turn a GitHub README into a LinkedIn carousel

Paste the link to a public GitHub repository below. Slidler reads the repo page, uses the repo name and description as the cover and picks sentences from the README as slides. Delete any code or install lines, keep the points that explain what the project does and why it matters, and download a 1080×1350 PDF to post on LinkedIn. It's free and needs no account.

Step by step

  1. Copy the URL of your public repository, e.g. https://github.com/owner/repo.
  2. Paste it into the Link tab below. For a private repo, copy the README text into the Text tab instead.
  3. Choose 6–10 slides. Remove command lines and contributor notes, and keep one benefit or feature per slide.
  4. Download the PDF, post it on LinkedIn with “Add a document”, and put the repo link in the post text.

FAQ

Does it work with private repositories?

No. Slidler can only read pages that are public. For a private repo, paste the README text into the Text tab.

Will code blocks show up on the slides?

Sometimes a command or code line gets picked. Delete it in the editor under that slide; carousels read best with plain sentences.

Can I use it for GitLab or other hosts?

Any public page that shows the README as normal text can work. If a page can't be read, paste the text instead.

Is there an API so my agent or CI can make the carousel?

Yes. Slidler has a free public API and MCP server without a key. See slidler.com/llms.txt.
